Jillian started volunteering with the NYMRC in September of 2021. From a young age, she knew she had a love for rehabilitation. She has rehabilitated multiple farm animals and wanted to pursue her love for rehabilitation with marine life. Growing up on Long Island she has developed a love for marine biology, the oceans, and all the animals in it. She is currently going to Suffolk to pursue an associate degree and intends on transferring to Stony Brook University to get her bachelor’s degree in marine science. Jillian has also completed multiple internships with the Long Island aquarium has volunteered on the NYMRC rescue team. It is a dream come true for her to do what she loves every day and be able to help the marine life.
